There are various government programs in the United States providing health care for seniors and people with lowest revenues, but mostly Americans rely on insurance, which they have to buy themselves. – There is also a lot of nightmarish stories about people falling into debts or bankruptcy, because they are sick and are not insured. To avoid this, the solution is to choose an insurance company – explains Agnieszka Rojek, a popular criminal podcaster, who thoroughly examined the attack on Brian Thompson.
The problem, however, is that after a doctor diagnosed a specific disease in the patient – for example, cancer – his fate is decided by an insurer who agrees (or not) to cover the costs of treatment. – On average, United Healthcare refuses to pay 32 percent of all reported benefits. In this case, patients surrender and pay for their treatment themselves – explains Rojek.
However, these are not the only accusations against the company. Last year, she was accused of using artificial intelligence to verify benefits. Al incorrectly rejected as much as 90 percent. applications. They were accepted only after the appeals, when the man checked them.
