Lucy Markovic, 27, died, a Croat who won the catwalks: ‘You were our light …’
The Australian model of Croatian roots Lucy Markovic passed away tonight at the age of 27, Australian media reported. The news of her death was posted on her Instagram.
Markovic was the star of the Australian and World Fashion Scene, one of the famous faces of Elite Nyc, was a model for Versace, worked campaigns for Victoria Beckham and participated in the popular Australia’s Next Top model show.
For years, she has struggled with a serious illness, Arteriovenian malformation (AVM), a tangling of blood vessels in the brain, which can significantly damage the brain.

Markovic said goodbye to her fashion agency, as well as the famous designer Donatella Versace.
