Summarizing data from all polling stations, the LPV gained 18.17% of the vote, which gives 13 of the 60 mandates in the City Council.

16.62% thousand voters voted « advanced », giving them 11 Member’s mandates, « National Union » – 14.2% of voters who give it 10 mandates, but the current Mayor of Riga Vilnius Cherry has gained 12.9% of voters. As a result, JV will receive nine posts.

The common list of « sovereign power » and «  » Jaunlatvians «  » has gained 12.13% of the vote and could be eight mandates accordingly.

Two more political forces – the « stability » party, supported by 6.94% of voters, entered the council, and a « united list », supported by 6.29% of voters, allowing five and four mandates respectively.

Other parties, including « Latvian Development », « Harmony », « Honor to serve Riga » and « The List of the Greens and Farmers’ Union, have not entered the Riga City Council.

In total, 60 deputies should be elected to the Riga City Council.

Voter activity in Riga reached 52.2%in these elections.

« Progressive » leader Viestur Kleinberg has already announced that he will call on the coalition talks to the « National Union », « New Unity » and « Joint List ». Representatives of these parties have demonstrated their readiness to go to such talks and admitted that with the results achieved, the « progressive » is the initiative to form the new coalition.

Kleinberg emphasized that voters have expressed their views in supporting « nationally -minded parties », and now these parties have to go to work and form a united, active coalition.

The politician said he would call on the negotiations to all the nationally -oriented parties and encourage them to work openly, without intrigue and back conversations for the voters. A similar coalition was formed five years ago by Martins Staķis (P) leadership, but as a result of mutual disagreement it collapsed.
