Low confidence in Sida’s management and Director General
Page undergoes A big change as a result of the government’s new aid policy. According to the Minister of Development Deputy Benjamin Dousa (M), it is the largest restructuring since the 1970s. This has led to a large and rapid reorganization.
The result of the latest employee survey was presented on Wednesday and shows that the staff is not satisfied with how the authority is governed.
« I feel that the Director -General leads the organization in a good way, » was the statement that got the worst result in the survey. The rating on Jakob Granit was 2.14 out of 5.
– We do not feel that he stands up for us. He stands up for the government and the board, says an officer who wants to be anonymous.
The rest of the highest management also gets low grades.
Overall, the employees are Satisfied with his immediate manager and the community with his colleagues.
But when it comes to the question of how likely it is to recommend Sida as an employer to others, the result is disappointing. The so -called Ambassador Index ENPS is minus 47 on a scale between minus 100 and 100.
« The management takes the results of the employee survey very seriously and sees that we need to gather power about a number of concrete measures to deal with the problems we see, » writes Malena Sandh, Head of Department for the Administrative Department on Sida to DN.
The former employee survey was implemented three years ago. It is not possible to compare the results straight because the scales are different. But regardless, it is possible to see that the result has been significantly worse.
The working environment on Sida is described by several employees as strained. It is about stress, managers who have stopped and rapid changes that have not been anchored.
In March, the then main security officer chose to make a petition to the Swedish Work Environment Authority, which made an inspection in April. Now you are waiting for a decision on possible proposals for measures.
– One of the lowest grades in the employee survey is about stress and to what extent stress issues are taken seriously on Sida. Now you need to focus on preventing ill health, says Anna Enkvist, who is the head protection representative and member of the Saco Board at Sida.
She also thinks it is important that the employer conducts a work environment survey every year.
« Sida has to execute an ambitious political reform agenda while recently undergoing a major reorganization. Within that framework we need to work on the work environment. Now the focus is to clarify, simplify and prioritize, » says Malena Sandh.
A total of 506 of 602 employees participated in the employee survey, a response rate of 84 percent.
