Hanson examined the population and death records obtained and identified the address of Backeberg and asked the local sheriff office to go to the woman’s house. Ten minutes later, Backeberg called the detective and spoke for 45 minutes, and the content of the conversation was kept confidential.

The detective said that the woman was happy and satisfied with her life and did not regret her decisions. Police closed the file, stating that there was no criminal element.
