It was May 4, 2017 in Limehouse in Eastern London. Karolina has lived abroad for eight years. The young woman came from Stargard (West Pomeranian Voivodeship). She studied architecture at the University of Westminster and worked part -time as a waitress at the Polish embassy.
On this day, the 20-year-old visited her friend, then 42-year-old Monika and her partner of her daughter 24-year-old Dawid Cz. 23-year-old Grzegorz K. came to the apartment, nobody expected to visit a 23-year-old. The man worked as a construction worker. He came from the Opole region. Monika F. was his aunt.
Suddenly Grzegorz K. threw himself at Carolina. In her body he sank a kitchen knife. There were 26 blows – investigators will say later. He stabbed her head, neck, body. The 20-year-old defended herself. She shouted to stop her hurt. She shielded her hands on which she had wounds. Monika and Dawid tried to save her. They broke his knife. They were also wounded.
Karolina died on the spot. She bled. Her torturer escaped. He was caught the next day when he returned to the crime scene. He explained that he killed because he was aware of the separation and this made his « heart stood ».

It was Karolina who left Grzegorz K. the reason was his behavior after alcohol. The man did not control himself, he became aggressive. The 20-year-old had enough of those drunques.
It was a closed stage for a young Polish woman. She wanted to start a new life. A week before the tragedy, she began to meet with Karol, their joint friends. This was supposed to breed Grzegorz K.
It seems obvious that he was wrongly completed the end of the relationship. He said he couldn’t understand why Karolina broke up with him, he wanted to come back to her. It looks like he couldn’t cope with the fact that the girl left him

The 23-year-old defender, Peter Doyle, pointed out as a circumstance that soothes the fact that Karolina was the first and the only love for Grzegorz K.. He was jealous of her and could not accept her loss. The man was also supposed to have mental problems. He became aggressive after alcohol.
