LMT turnover increased in the first quarter by 5.2% / day
The LMT Group’s profit before interest payments, taxes and deductions (EBITDA) was EUR 22.4 million, which is 8.8% more than in the first quarter of 2024.
In the first quarter of 2025, the investment amount of LMT has increased – twice as much money in network resistance, cyber -safety and development as € 6.6 million at the beginning of last year, the company said. LMT also continues to invest in the security and resistance of the overall network, as well as in protecting customers from potential fraud.
The company notes that LMT has joined the 6G Smart Networks and Services Industry Association (6G-AR), combining several telecommunications, communications and technology companies, research institutions and industry organizations.
Participation in 6g -ia will allow LMT to participate more actively in various programs related to 5G and 6G research and 5G infrastructure implementation projects and to develop and develop the use of 5G and 6G and 6G on the Internet, Defense, Drone, Smart Cities and Things (IoT), as well as autonomous vehicles.
LMT President Juris Binde points out that changes and innovations are one of LMT’s drivers.
He also notes that the acquisition of new technologies, markets and services can provide Latvia with international leadership.
It has already been reported that the turnover of the LMT group last year, according to preliminary data, was EUR 309.6 million, which is 0.5% more than in 2023.
The LMT Group in 2023 had a turnover of EUR 310,269 million, which was 6.7% more than a year ago, while the Group’s profit increased by 0.6% to EUR 32,069 million. The turnover of the parent company in 2023 was EUR 175,062 million, which is 5.9% more than a year ago, but the company’s profit increased by 20.6% to EUR 34,864 million.
LMT is 49% owned by Sweden’s Telia Company and its subsidiary Sonera Holding, 23% of the shares are owned by SIA « TET » and VAS « Latvian State Radio and Television Center » (LVRTC), and 5% – SIA « Public Active Authority » Posessor « ».
