The Norddeutsche Rundfunk, which has been responsible for the broadcast of the ESC in Germany in recent years, has again been involved in collaboration with Stefan Raab after years of more mixed results.

This organized several shows directly that ran under the name « Chefsick ESC ». The goal is high: only one ESC victory is an option. It is still unclear whether this wish will be fulfilled. However, the bets say something else.

The entertainer Elton also sat on the jury of the German preliminary decision. We met him at the embassy reception of the German and Austrian embassy in Switzerland and spoke to him briefly.

He is satisfied with this year’s German ESC contribution « Baller » by Abor & Tynna. « I think we made a good choice. » The reception of the entire delegation in Basel was also very warm, which was also due to the fact that the ESC bubble was very open. He has not yet met Stefan Raab in Basel. « We are both here and shoot separately for an ESC show that is broadcast on RTL. »

As for the ESC and the participating songs, he wants to be surprised until the grand finale. « I haven’t heard yet. I prefer to be convinced of the first impression. If I hear an ESC song more often, it may be too boring for me ».
