In just a few seconds, he realized that the train was approaching, he did not hesitate to attach to the woman to help. His quick reaction and decisive actions helped the woman move to a safe place just a moment before the vehicle that is backward.

Amber has many years of experience in the police, where he was distinguished by his professionalism and ability to act in critical situations. His indifference and courage became an inspirational example to others. « I just did what I think was right. I didn't think about the danger to myself – the key was to help, » said Gintaras Šeškevičius after the award.

His noble act sounded widely later when LRT Radio reported the incident. « The LTG infra, which manages the Lithuanian Railway Infrastructure, has long been looking for a heroically acting person. Eventually the message reached Amber. Amber himself modestly appreciates his actions, saying, » Probably the saying is that I was in the right place at the right time. «
