Linard Bardill’s son is among the accident on the Rimpfischhorn
Five experienced ski tourers died on a 4000er in Valais a week and a half ago. One of them was the son of the songwriter and writer Linard Bardill.
A couloir at the summit of the Rimpfischhorn was doomed.
So far it was known that a 34-year-old woman and two men aged 35 and 38 were among the victims. As a death notice now shows, the 38-year-old man was a son from the first marriage of Graubünden Linard Bardill. It is not the first major loss of the songwriter and writer: in 1982 he lost his father through an unspecified accident. In 1989 his mother almost died when her car fell into a gorge at the oven pass. Linard Bardill, who sings in hospitals for terminally ill children and published a comforting CD over the death last year, is to be desired that he and the other relatives are now also comforted.
Worked in the Wetzikon hospital
The victorious 38-year-old son Bardills was a tour manager at a SAC in the Zurich Oberland and father of a young family. He and the crashed woman worked in the Wetzikon ZH hospital. The hospital published a message on Monday, which means: « We are stunned and deeply affected by the loss of two of our long -standing employees in the tragic accident of Zermatt on Saturday, May 24th. » The two were very special people and would leave a painful gap.
The five crashed alpinists were independent of each other in a group of two with a rope and a group of three without a rope. They started early at 4.30 a.m. in the Britanniahütte. It is unclear why a few skis was also found on the glacier below and was not on the saddle in the ski depot, from where to get to the summit on foot.
