Light on Top Mountain ” – promotion of a children’s illustrated book in Struga

Promotion of the book « Light on the Top Mountain » – the first illustrated life of St. Spasa Visenska, specially adapted for the young readership, will be held on Sunday (May 25), starting at 5 pm at the Miladinov Brothers Cultural Center in Struga.
The author of the book is Jasmina Kantardzieva Dimkov, and the illustrations are made by artist Viktoria Poposka. The publication covers seven thematic units, each enriched with illustrations that bring the content closer to children’s perception, in order to convey the saint’s life story in an accessible and educational way.
According to the book editor, Father Aleksandar Dimoski, the motivation to create this work stemmed from the need for the content of spiritual and cultural heritage to become understandable, close and inspiring to children.
It is the first life adapted for children of saint canonized by the Macedonian Orthodox Church – Ohrid Archbishopric.
« Maybe not too big in scope, but unprecedented in content, inexpressible according to the meaning and blessed in the intention, the picture book » Light on the Top Mountain « will surely become one’s children’s gospel, » said Father Aleksandar Dimoski.
The event is open to the public. In addition to the authors, the book will be spoken by writer Verica Mukoska and Father Aleksandar Krstanoski.
The promotion is held symbolically on May 25, the day when the memory of the Holy Conference Spase Vevcanski and Spasa Vishenska will be marked for the first time, after their canonization in 2023.
