If you are a fan of japanese aesthetics and culture of living, we believe you will fall in love with the apartment that represents us Superspacewhich projected Danijela Mišković.

A flat that provides a sense of peace

The inquiry for the development of the apartment arrangement project came from the client who has already had a finished interior project, but it is after the video project A flat with Japanese detail On the Superspost Platform, he wished something similar. This space, as well as mentioned, was intended for rent. With maximum confidence, the client only gave basic guidelines that the project needed to meet – functionality, simplicity, a lot of storage space and a feeling of peace.

The project task included the entrance hall, living room with dining area and two bedrooms. As with the first project of the same themes, the basis of design consists of neutral tones, natural materials, simple lines and warm wood shades.

This time, the wall was exploited for the central motive, whose shaping was inspired by traditional Japanese sliding partitions – Fusuma. Instead of moving panels, the wall is coated with wallpaper shaped on which the crane is painted, a cherrish flower and sunset. This « painted wall » not only alludes to silk and paper delicacy, but brings a new dimension of space – the one in which the image is not just decoration, but part of the story.

At the request of the client, the lighting and installation furniture (kitchen elements and closet in the entrance zone) remained unchanged. Internal carpentry is made in darker tones, external is performed in brighter wood shades, while parquet has a third shade that differs from the previous ones. When drafting the project, it was necessary to preserve furniture, lighting and detail in the found form and at the same time fit them into a new interior solution.

The furniture in the living room is characterized by simple, low forms, which allude to the Japanese tradition of sitting near the floor. Sofas and seating pads are placed around the central wooden table, which creates an intimate gathering zone that encourages conversation and socializing. The materials are natural, light wood and textiles in shades of sand and stone are predominant.

The abundance of the daylight enters through large windows and refreshes the space, while lightweight curtains and Drapers They bring softness and dampen the sun’s rays as needed.

The kitchen and dining room are visually connected to the living room, but with the help of a wooden mask for the radiator with vertical slats, they discreetly separate and define and define. The round dining table and a paper lamp above it create a central point that calls for gathering and meals without rushing.

The bedrooms follow the same principle: warm beige and green shades of bed linen, wooden coverings and carefully placed lighting creates the ambience of refuge. The wall behind the bed is adorned with the illustration of the inspired Japanese architecture, further accentuated by discrete LED lighting.

Every detail, from minimalist furniture to carefully selected plants and decorative elements, testifies to the need not to be burdened, but to breathe in it. The light is filtered through the layers of curtains, while the textures of wood grants and paper lamps are coming to the feeling of harmony and order. The interior is not designed to impress, but to die, offering a space where life takes place in slower rhythm.
