The IRCAM Forum Workshops will take place on 25-27 this year. In September in cooperation with Liepaja Concert Hall Great Amber, Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music, RTU Liepaja Academy and French Institute in Latvia and Paris. Forum global initiative Hors-les-mir It has been organized since 1994 worldwide. It meets members of the Ircam Forum and other interested parties – composers, independent artists, students, music professionals and sound technology experts – to share experiences and innovations in various lectures, discussions and practical demonstrations. Over the past ten years, the Ircam Forum workshops have taken place in countries such as South Korea, Brazil, Taiwan, Argentina, China, the United States and Chile. The event in Latvia is a particularly important event, as this will be the first time the international version of the IRCAM Forum Workshops will take place in Europe.

In Riga and Liepaja, workshops will take place in the centenary of the prominent composer and conductor Pierre Boule. In three days, professionals, students and researchers will have the opportunity to go into scientific research and artistic creation with advanced audio technology. From May 20 is open login or Open Call For lectures and demonstrations: industry representatives are invited to apply for participation and submit their offer on topics such as digital signal processing (DSP), sound synthesis, computer -supported composing, artificial neural network and real -time processing methods. The Paris Pompidu Center was founded in 1977 and combines museums of modern and contemporary art, concerts, performances, cinemas and discussions, becoming a dynamic environment for artists’ experiments and public involvement. Pompidu Center regularly hosts world -renowned artists, while also providing a platform for new talents and interdisciplinary projects. One of the most important elements of the center is Ircam (Institut de Recherche et Coordination Acoustique/Musique) – Institute of Music and Acoustics Research specializing in sound technology. This institute was founded and led by Pierre Bules. The forum will end with an ambitious concert dedicated to the centenary of the composer in cooperation with French and Latvian music professionals.
