The Russian state agency RIA on Wednesday reported the arrest of three Spanish citizens and an Australian when they tried to enter a cosmodrome hangar. « Tonight in the vicinity of the assembly and supply complex of the transfers Burán were arrested three Spaniards and an Australian, » said the agency, according to which the four foreigners were being interrogated.

The Baikonur cosmodrome, rented by the Kazakh government to the Russian Federation until 2050, was built in the fifties of the last century by the Soviet authorities as the launch basis of the USSR’s space programs, such as the Sputnik.
