« Levski » insists the chief of judges to respond publicly whether the Black Sea is helping because of his son

For the second time this season, PFC Levski came up with a statement related to refereeing mistakes after a match against the Black Sea. On Sunday, the « blue » lost 1: 2 of the « sailors » At their stadium « Georgi Asparuhov », and their dissatisfaction is related to two situations – in both Black Sea players, they touch the ball with a hand. The first was involved in Vladko Liver, and in the second – Dimitar Tonev, and from PFC Levski they also published a video, which they believe clearly shows a game with Tonev’s hand before the winning goal for the club from Varna.

The Dnevnik recalls that earlier in the spring the « blue » came out again with a declaration, but after the defeat of the « Black Sea » by 0: 1 in the tournament for the Bulgarian Cup. At the time, their claims were that Ilian Iliev was not expelled after an altercation with the Levski footballer Maikon, and also accused the double standard of referee Georgi Giengov.

More declarations after the Cup draw, BPFL and Levski called for the resignation of Ilian Iliev as a national breeder

Today, the attack is mainly to the referees – and also to the head of the judges Stanislav Todorov, from whom the leadership of Levski wants an explanation by whether the team of Vasimir El -Khatib and Dimitar Dimitrov has been appointed in both losses from the Black Sea, or has to do with Todorov’s son, who is.

Here is the full text of the post:

« The leadership of PFC Levski expresses its strong disappointment with the judge in the match against the Black Sea, played on April 13, 2025 at the stadium » Georgi Asparuhov « . Unfortunately, we are witnessing another match, in which refereeing decisions directly on the end result.

We emphasize that we are responsible for our presentation on the terrain and do not fully transfer the blame for the loss. But when there are obvious referees that change the course of the match, silence would be equivalent to complicity.

In the 54th minute of the match with a score of 1-0, the ball hits the hand of the Black Sea defender, Vladko Liver in the penalty area – a situation that by all criteria corresponds to a penalty. Chief Justice Georgi Davidov does not react in real time – something we can understand. But the absence of intervention by VARA referee Vasimir El-Khatib remains completely inexplicable. This calls into question the effectiveness of the whole CCTV process.

An additional concern is the situation in the second goal of the Black Sea, with reasonable doubts about playing with the hand by the attacker Dimitar Tonev in the control of the ball. Var intervenes on the ambush, but it misses this key moment, although it is clearly visible from the cameras. It is noteworthy that the judge’s team responsible for the lime – Vasimir El -Hatib and Dimitar Dimitrov – was also engaged in the match for the Cup of Bulgaria between the two teams in February this year, respectively as a lime referee and a fourth judge, when a ball in the face of Maicon by the Black Sea coach Ilian Iliev also remained without consequences. We hope all these coincidences are just a ridiculous series of mistakes.

But we ask the reasonable question – do these decisions have to do with the fact that the son of the chairman of the judge’s committee Stanislav Todorov – Manol Todorov – is a filmed football player at the Black Sea school?

This is a question that deserves a clear and public answer to clear any doubt.

In view of all of the listed, PFC Levski insists that the rest of our matches in the playoff phase of the championship should be led by foreign judges. It is not the first time that we submit such a request, but the current situation makes it absolutely imperative. The fate of the participation of Bulgarian teams in European tournaments should not depend on controversial decisions and doubts about impartiality. «
