Letter to the editor. Stopping for track change goes against the timetables’ own logic

Dagens Nyheter writes on March 23 about the timetables abolition of the so -called track changewhich means that people who have applied for or obtained a work permit in Sweden after rejection of their asylum applications now according to a new law, clubbed by Parliament on March 12, will be expelled even though they have valid work and residence permits. Their family members should also be expelled.

On April 1, the Riksdag’s decision on track change will take effect, and about 4,700 people are affected by this. Of these, around 1,400 are relatives, and about 2,200 have a valid work permit, according to the Migration Board.

The Riksdag’s decision lacks transitional rules and punishes those who have followed the rules. The government and the Swedish Democrats often paint the image of immigrants as a group that does not work and live on grants. Here, however, it is about people who have valid working and residence permits, who work, pay taxes and contribute to society. Despite this, they and their families should be expelled.

The decision lacks Reality anchoring and logic and goes against all the talk from the government and the Riksdag about immigrants doing right for themselves. Here, these individuals do just that – but should still be expelled. What is this decision really about? Can it be about the Swedish Democrats’ dream society: a Sweden without dark -skinned people? Otherwise, it is difficult to understand such an incomprehensible decision from the government and the Riksdag.
