The Social Democrats party congress Starts tomorrow. One wish I have is that Congress will be characterized by humanity, empathy and solidarity. Sweden and social democracy need a new focus.

In TV4’s « After five » And various news channels are talked about the million fine for the Social Democrats when it comes to the shady sales methods for the combination lottery. Of course, it is quite right to tell about it. But it is completely silent and there will be no follow -ups at all about the Postcode Lottery, which according to Aftonbladet had the same shady sales methods. Follow -up on it in TV4, maybe? Or is it too sensitive? « Postcode millionaire » and « Deal or no deal » After all, a broadcast on TV4…

« Why does the left defend rich in Stockholm’s inner city get a discount on the rent? » The quotation is taken from DN’s main leader 27/5. In the leader, the problem of regulated rent setting is addressed, which means that those living in popular areas receive a greater discount on their apartments than those living in less attractive areas. What is skewed in the argument in the leader is that you blame the Left Party because we do not have free rent in new production. The truth is that the right opposition went against its own ideology and conviction and voted against free rent in new production, solely to trap Stefan Löfven as prime minister. If not own gain and attempts to access Prime Minister Posten was in the pot, we have today had free rent in new production. This is how it is when politicians’ power ambitions outweigh ideology and conviction.

The world must stop the destruction of civilian Palestinians!

« How can Israel be able to defend himself in The Hague after this? »DN’s political editor Amanda Sokolnicki wonders. How can Netanyahus regime with the wealth of mass destruction and at the same time for 19 (!) Months have been able to follow a massacre in real time, be able to defend themselves? Neither Israel nor the United States have ratified the Rome Statute and Hungary, after Netanyah’s visit, became the third country, after Burundi and the Philippines, to withdraw from the International Criminal Court. That the case against Netanyahus regime has even been able to be admitted to the court in The Hague, by South Africa, is due to the fact that Palestine, since 2015, together with Sweden and 122 other countries, is a party to the International Criminal Court.

In these times of war, destruction and inconceivable human suffering in Gaza As the Swedish people take part in the media, the need for leadership from our elected government is urgent. The Swedes’ feelings of frustration, horror and despair about the news elements that rinse daily over us need a unifying voice. The Swedish people need an assurance that the government shares our experiences and takes responsibility for being translated into political action. When we are assured that our elected officials see what we see, speak clear language and vigorously distances from war acts that kill and starve civilians, we can feel community and pride instead of cynicism and resignation. We know from experience that the Swedish people’s willingness to help in general is great, but only when the government takes the lead in words and action do we become a country and a people who stand up for people’s right to life and future.

Trump says That he does not understand why Putin shoots missiles and drones into Ukrainian cities for no reason. Trump seems completely unaware of who Putin is and what he wants with his increasing bombing against the civilian population in Ukraine. The question is what the incomprehensible US president intends to do to stop the bombing.

Swedish Harvard student Leo Gerdén were interviewed in SVT this morning And then made, among other things, a reasonable comparison between Trump’s policies to higher education institutions in the United States and what is happening in the rest of the world and Sweden. At that time, the host in the usual order had to draw the old frame that the Swedish Democrats were not able to defend themselves. We never hear this pathetic phenomenon in the opposite direction when, for example, a government representative states whether something the opposition is said to have said or done. SVT could just as well have a political commissioner present in the studio to be able to correct statements more quickly that are dissatisfied for government power.

Nuclear power plants need non-renewable uranium fuel and a non-renewable reserve diesel power plant. Hydropower plants need a water pond in reserve. Where did all the countless small local hydropower plants go?

Reflections on referendum:
● Have I, as a 72-year-old, right or reason to have opinions about something to be done in 30 years?
● Do I have the right to vote for abortion issues?
● If I gained more knowledge and change myself, then the referendum is still valid?
● Does the referendum have long validity than a term of office?

Reply to Bo Cedergren (Noted on May 26): The military degrees general and amiral do not deprive responsibility for the dissemination of militarism. One of the main tasks of the military is to calm down the war hysteria. The king always attracts special attention. The more important it is to get a pinch of peace air from the king.

Andrev Walden wrote a column on DN’s leadership page In an insightful and entertaining way about the anger that can occur when individual drivers depart from the established every other car rule when two files become one. Bengt Svensson (Noted on May 26) knew better: Teslan who drove past the sex did right! Bengt, you may not drive a black Tesla?

Opinions about DN
Speaking of The article in DN 25/5 by the language magazine’s Anders Svensson about the pronoun « Hen »: Although Svensson’s email basket is no longer filled to the breadth of angry emails over this word, I think there are too many who feel great resistance to using « them » in their daily language. For me, the noun « hen » is still an English word (hen).
