Letter to the editor. Noted by DN's readers on March 4
Ulf Kristersson (M) became a bit « discouraged » When he witnessed Trump's and Vances brutal attacks on Zelenskyj in live broadcast. I do not want a prime minister, regardless of party color, which gets a little discouraged when the world's most powerful man behaves like a mafia boss. I want a prime minister who rings from!
Jens Busch
I quote Johan Alsén (Noted on March 3): « Better rye in the back than ice in the stomach – it easily melts into submissiveness. » Has Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson's ice in his stomach melted down to submissiveness? IN SVT's « Morning Studio » Today he was asked if he thought Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyj would apologize. As usual, he meandered himself and replied that he did not « intend to comment on such individual things » and repeated his « ice in his stomach ». In addition, he has chosen to have Ukraine's flag on the jacket. Do we have a prime minister who is unable to stand up for truth and justice in plain text? If it is only the language that is missing to, for example, be able to say that it is a sensitive situation, but that in this case « can be discussed who should apologize » or something similar, then Kristersson needs to get some help with how to express himself. And the lack of the Ukraine flag on the jacket is a big question mark.

Followed the discussions with the representatives of the parliamentary parties in Sunday evening's « Agenda » in SVT Around the sharply changed security policy situation for Sweden and Europe. Without mentioning the elephant in the room as the big threat, all parties agreed that enormously increased resources for Sweden and Europe's defense. This is of course of the utmost importance, but as we all understand, many many years will take and also lead to a strong escalation and a higher voltage mode. As usual, everyone runs in the same direction. But what we in Europe – with the same power and determination – must also do is to ensure that all the gaps that still give Russia the opportunity to finance their war machine are completely clogged. As Daniel Helldén (MP) uncommented (!) Created, we must also deprive Russia to the important source of income from the sale of gas and oil through further sanctions. It probably came as a flash from clear sky for everyone else – « haven't thought about it ».

« Make Europe Great Again. » Europe may have to think in business in the same way as Trump. Make a settlement with Putin about both Ukraine and Greenland! It might make the United States think.

Speaking of bullies:
Three big guys kick on a little guy lying on the ground.
– Well, your little shit, you claim that the earth is round? Immediately take it back and apologize !! screams the biggest of the bullies.
– Just that, apologize! Fills the other bully in.
– And lick our shoes!, Adds the third.
– Well I can prove .., the little one starts with a weak voice.
Then they kick him to death.
Erik Göransson, Sollentuna
The words by Richard Nixon's Foreign Minister Henry Kissinger have been quoted many times, but can be repeated: « To be an enemy of America is Dangerous, but to be a friend may be fatal. » (« Being an enemy to America is dangerous, but being a friend can be fatal/deadly. »)
Lars Roos
A hypothetical thought: Suppose Mexico would initiate a « special operation » to regain Texas (the state belonged to Mexico until 1836). Should the US president settle flat or risk starting the « Third World War » by starting a war against the « special operation »?
Hans Söderström, Haninge
This may be a good opportunity to change the strange habit of using « American » for « » person from the United States « . People from Mexico, Canada, Argentina are also Americans!
About 340 million inhabitants live in the United States. About 600 million people live in America, but not in the United States. The big question is how to conveniently call someone from the United States. A Mexican insisted on « United states ». Perhaps. In Swedish maybe « Usk » can work, like « German » or « Danish ». The question is open!

Reply to Gunilla Marie Magnusson (Listed on February 27): You reform has brought very well. Among other things, older and younger can talk in a more natural and nicer way instead of exchanging various courtesy phrases that the release automatically entails. The DU reform has probably contributed some to the generations being brought together a little more. With « you » you are open to the one you speak to, while « you » mark a distance. The rehearsal also has nothing to do with respect, possibly artificial such. Respect is shown through behavior and response as well as how we treat each other.

The two commentators are still talking on TV6 each ski competition. It would be desirable that these two be replaced by others who understand that viewers can think for themselves. Have you really been hired to scream, repeat you and sound every second?
Barbro Eriksson, Stenhamra
A question for TV6: Skiing must enforce far too much on advertising?

Opinions about DN
Reads Johan Croneman And think about what he means. To begin, I agree that the analytical level of journalists and experts can sometimes be higher. But I am glad that they are there, comment on world events and according to good ability and with short deadlines want to increase my and others' understanding and knowledge. For the most part, it will be good! But as Croneman writes that SVT's Bert Sundström « sounds like a political activist for Ukraine's cause », then I can't help but wonder what he means.
• Does he write so that Sundström has expressed concern that the war may last for many years, and that Russia can finally win if Ukraine does not receive enough support? (SVT 241119)
● Or that Sundström has reported that although the Russians in principle support the war is it unclear how strong this support is, since freedom of expression in Russia is limited and the resistance is very limited? (SVT 241119)
● Or because Sundström the first day of the war described the situation as a real war – and did not use Putin's words about a military special operation – without really reasonable motivation had started? (SVT, 220224)
Or is it a post in a debate that media should be impartial and neutral, even for an invasion war, war crimes, attacks, murder and torture of civilian, executions, massacre in butja, kidnappings of thousands of children and attempted murder on democratically elected leaders? I wonder if it is not that the analytical level rather needs to be raised at DN's TV chronicler rather than SVT's correspondent.

Thanks, Björn Wimanbecause you help us put words into the human breakdown that is going on within the US administration. Otherwise, as an individual, it is difficult to take part in the power of power, revenge, brutal heartlessness and greed that is at the heart of the foreign policy that is currently being pursued from the White House in the United States. Wrath, disgust, dismay and grief are emotions that risk remaining within one and in the worst case it leads in their extension to cynicism and abandonment. I feel with gratitude that you thus try to highlight the courage and goodness in the midst of all this tirelessly that individual people show despite difficult hardships in care for others and in the struggle for a common future. How else can we survive on the planet Earth. Thanks!
