That thing with the climate. IN its line number S-leader Magdalena Andersson said nothing about the climate crisis. Afterwards, in an interview, commented and asked the interviewer about this. The answer was: « I had 40 minutes, I had 50, so … » What an answer! The climate is thus very, very low priority.

The Social Democratic Party Congress has supported that the criminal age for particularly serious crimes is to be lowered from today’s 15 years to 14 years on trial. I oppose even more tougher hold of the young gang criminals and do not agree with the majority’s choir who believe that more young children in prisons solve all problems. We need other methods and more preventive measures such as youth work and early efforts in preschool and school. Hope the Social Democratic Party changes.

Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M) thinks that the Social Democrats Make a dangerous left turn. « It would make our country both poorer and more dangerous, » he writes. At the same time, growth is weak or non -existent and unemployment remains high while segregation and income gaps are growing, childbirth decreases, the shootings continue and carbon dioxide emissions are increasing. I firmly believe that Kristersson is already sitting on the stand.
Axel Lindgren, Stockholm
The Social Democrats have the past days held congress in Gothenburg where a new party program was developed. What happens then? Well, media is overwhelmed by warnings from government and various ministers, mainly from the Moderates. Tactics, of course, but with clarity, this scare propaganda is seen.
Elizabeth Karsna, Karlskrona
The time parties with the government at the forefront give inhumanity a new face. You throw out people who work in the home service and elderly care due to step 22-like rules. These people are caring and pay taxes. The worst thing is that our elderly are hit hard. There is apparently no limit to how much suffering the government can turn a blind eye to its hunt for caring people. Soon it may be your turn.

Recently published DN an article by Saeed Alnahhalwhere he describes how Israel’s blockade of humanitarian aid to Gaza hit 12-year-old Rahaf Ayard. She has lost weight since March this year – from 35 to 12 kilos! And she’s not alone! Tens of thousands of children suffer from malnutrition and the UN Children’s Fund Unicef estimates that 9,000 of these children are in need of care. Malnutrition is a terrible condition. A long suffering, which means, among other things, that the kidneys stop working, the body is weakened and the children suffer from unbearable pain including their feet, pain which means that they cannot walk. How can a country like Sweden refuse to receive a number of these innocent children and give them the care they need? It is shameful and incomprehensible! There is absolutely no excuse for this action. I am ashamed and urge the Swedish government to take its humanitarian responsibilities and help, among others, Rahaf!

Now the EU’s powerful « peasant lobby » has succeeded in creating new tariffs against Ukraine. Sweden’s own farmers’ association (LRF) is supposed to be a driving force in the decision. The duty -free exports on agricultural products, which were an important part of the support package to Ukraine, seem to have dismissed the European big farmers. An arrogant, self -satisfied spokeswoman for LRF is heard in the radio (Ekot 30/5) that the terms of the new agreement (which existed before Russia’s full -scale invasion) is quite so well anyway! Putin thanks and smiles. Since the beginning of the war, I have tried to boycott all companies that (directly or indirectly) support Russia. Everyone may respond to their own conscience, but I personally feel better when I don’t have blood taste in my mouth. How do I now, when an organization that has 120,000 members, sells itself to Russia? Stops eating?

A « Freedom Reform »says Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M) on the introduction of farm sales of alcohol. In addition, the Riksdag has erected a sixth pillar on the basis of democracy: 1) Free and fair elections, 2) General and equal voting rights, (3) freedom of speech and the right to transparency, 4) equality before the law, 5) respect for the majority principle and a free and independent society and now also 6) right to farm sales.

President Trump has repeatedly complained about the defective education system in the United States. He has compared it with clearly better such systems in, for example, the Nordic countries. He should be grateful for the US substantive public schools. It is only as a result of how bad the basic education is that so many vote for a dilettant like Trump! However, the academic education of the highest class is, which I myself know after a short victory at Harvard Business School.
Lars Bergkvist, Business Administration, Stockholm
We Swedes are happy to hit the chest and feel gratitude that we are not living in the United States under Trump. It is true but at the same time there are obvious parallels albeit on a smaller scale:
● We have a prime minister who passively saves international law and starvation in Gaza.
● We have a Minister of Culture who is not interested in culture.
● We show well -integrated immigrants who have learned Swedish and have permanent jobs in the home service and healthcare.
● We have a party in the government base that has members who sympathize with criminals (motorcycle gangs).
● We take away from poor families their housing allowance and provide tax relief to the rich.
● We have a climate minister who for a policy that increases emissions.
● Trump is the only foreign head of state who is interested in introducing the Swedish system of schools that generates profits to venture capitalists.
Maybe we should see about our own house before we condemn others?

I can only agree with per stone (Noted on May 30) About the bad and careless pronunciation that many interviewed on TV (and radio) have. For a long time it has been that the three most basic things to learn are read, write and count. What you forget in this enumeration is that what is even more important is to speak. Speaking is by far the most important way to communicate with our surroundings. I mean that the four most basic things to learn are to speak, read, write and count. Our elected officials should make the effort to speak clearly. Tip: There are speech educators.

To develop Johan Cronemans thoughts about sports and alcohol Is it remarkable that no one connects hooliganism in arenas to the alcohol intake. No sober supporters spoil their law through violence. Is the reality that the clubs are so dependent on income from alcohol sales in the arenas that they do not even want to see the connection and even less do something about it?

« Manne af Klintberg wanted to become a priest – instead he became a clown » (DN 1/6). Well, it may well go on one out.

Replica to Johan Kjellström (Noted on 30 May): Thinking about how you can disassemble the (quite a few) TV entertainment programs you list if you have never seen them.

Looked on Sunday evening A good program from TV’s childhood about Israel -Palestine. It was Henry Christensson who was a reporter, and the music that was played when only pictures were shown almost completely as soon as he started talking. I reacted directly: That ability has thus existed already at the beginning of TV, a knowledge that has now been lost! Boring.

Opinions about DN
It can be considered a fine article idea to compare different slimming methods and advise your readers about which methods are best suited for different types of individuals (DN 1/6). But if you want to educate readers about what science says about slimming, it may seem irresponsible to write about slimming methods with such a large fanfare, when a large amount of research shows that 1) at least 80 percent of individuals as a diet fails to maintain the new lower weight after five years and 2) so -called jojoba, where one goes up and down, including weight, including and reduced kidney function. If you want to write about different ways to improve health based on evidence, it would be better to write about the « Health at Every Size » movement or about all research showing that BMI well over 25 is not associated with higher mortality. Stop contributing to harmful diet and weight fixation in young people as well as the elderly!

Concerning Articles on adoption: Watch out so that reporting does not become too one -sided! We adopted two children from Sri Lanka in the 1980s, met both mothers, visited the court for the adoption to go right to etc. Nothing went unjust. We have loved these children as much as our biological! Young people are always looking for their identity, the question « Who am I? » is the same for everyone, whether you are adopted or not, black or white. Surely you can think of an alternative life, those parents might have loved me more? But if no fathers or money was there maybe the child had ended up on the street instead of taking part in all the privileges of the Western world. The world is not so cute, but is often raw and tough. Need the articles on adoption! Think of all the adopted kids for whom it went well!

The partner therapist Susanna Tagesdotter pronounces in DN (inside 2/6) on relationships that can be tiring on holiday. One should work with your tolerance to the partner, she emphasizes and takes as an example « now I have become together with a Northern, quiet person, I cannot turn into her another ». Perhaps the therapist should call his own prejudices.

The report in DN Culture about Hanna Hellquist Last Sunday: Seven (!) Pages and twelve pictures. Finds this unreasonable, however good a journalist she may be. No, sharpening DN, otherwise I change to SvD!
