It must be considered unique and incomprehensible that a person whose rhetoric is most similar to a child’s incoherent babble, is allowed to keep the whole world in an economic grip that causes immense damage. The actions of the Republican Party give the « Emperor’s new clothes » a whole new dimension. Is there hope that there would be someone who finally exclaims: « The man is crazy »?
Peter Bubak, Stockholm

It is not reputable large companies like Ericsson and Volvo in Democratic Sweden that invite resistance to Trump’s unjust tariff, but the rock -hard dictatorship in China! What does it say about our time?
Helmi Franklin

IN a fire -sprouted article Today, it usually takes the blemish economist and DN columnist Lars Calmfors to the Grand Speed when he dismisses the Trump Administration’s thoughts behind the draconian customs rates that will now apply in the trade exchange between the United States and the outside world. These thoughts do not even meet the minimum requirements for the basic course in economics, says Calmfors with a professorly squeeze. And of course he is absolutely right. But the paradox is that he is completely wrong! Shown brilliance in the seminar rooms at the economic institutions at Harvard and Columbia is not possible to switch into personal political currency, neither in Washington DC nor elsewhere where elected officials make political strategic decisions. It is simply about different things. And one does not necessarily drum the other. Was the thing for themselves. Trump’s play on the customs issue is thus politics. The customs play must therefore be reviewed and valued according to what applies to politics. The fact that the arrangement has been triggered with economic decorations does not change it. How it all ends we already know, namely that we know nothing at all at all. And that is one of the major challenges in politics. But also the delight, some would add.

Regarding Trump’s berry. One picks up the breath and applauding Lars Strannegård’s article In today’s cultural part of DN!

« The stock market is just the beginning » exclaims DN’s main leader In today’s newspaper and continues, « Where will this end? » No message is given, only fears obvious to anyone. Many people have expressed concern over what Donald Trump may cause in the past six months, and expressions like « ice in his stomach » have often been met with general phrases such as « taking Trump seriously » and « he means what he says ». Did any of them foreseen a changed world map, the hint of war against an ally, a vaccine opponent as Health Minister, 50 percent customs against Lesotho and public humiliation of a guest in the Oval Room? Not what I can remember. Consequently, the comments are characterized by the paleness of the aftermath. Numbers are talked about disaster, customs shock, cost shock, stock exchange panic, new doubts about Trump, everything he has done so far has been unthinkable, his customs table is based on pure nonsense. There is one and the other that would well put on the tag shirt.

An entire world now holds its breath and fears that Trump will succeed with what it is he wants to achieve …
Peter Pettersson, Hellvi

A new day. I wonder what Donald Trump is going to come up with today. Comedian John Mulanay was similar to Donald Trump’s presidency with a horse loose in a hospital. Every day, the media reports what the horse has had for itself. In recent days, Donald Trump has sent shock waves through the world’s stock exchange. I compare the reactions to the stock market cases and the war headings in the newspapers with the superior to the much milder reaction to his decision to close down USAID and thus stop, among other things, HIV medicine to many of the world’s poorest people. What does it say about us and our society that the course race gets extremely much more attention than more people will die in AIDS? Me says that we are all unlucky. Elon Musk criticized a politician who laughed at Tesla’s race on the stock exchange. In an interview, Musk called the politician « Evil » (evil). So it should come from someone who stops HIV medicine for the world’s poorest? But it is positive that Trump is tirelessly reviewed by the hard -working American journalists. I wish Swedish journalists took their work at the same seriousness. Sweden’s Rural Minister believes in a couple of debate articles in Aftonbladet that Sweden’s meat production should increase and that the eutrophication in the Baltic Sea should be stopped. Since the eutrophication in the Baltic Sea literally depends on animal husbandry and our meat consumption does not go together. It is a pity that even the Baltic Sea is given less value than the stock prices.
Jonas Paulsson, Söderköping

Nearly a quarter of the world’s countries are on the despot Donald Trump’s black list. Students from the countries studying in the United States do not dare to go home as they risk not being admitted to the United States when returning. Here at home we sit and be hungry and criticize the madness, without reflecting on the fact that there are only degrees in hell when empathetic ministers such as Maria Malmer Stenergard (M) or Johan Forssell (M) say basically the same about people with a residence state in Sweden. If they are unmanageable, perhaps for the last time, to revisit the remains of their family in a war -bombed country, the residence permit in Sweden can be forfeited. We certainly have our own despots to be tamped with.

Terrible reports every day about Israel’s brutal devastating and killing on Gaza and the West Bank. Keir Starmers and Emmanuel Macron’s « strength of willing » should have their most important task here.
Brother Tegelid, Östersund

Edgar Mannheimer writes in a leadership article in today’s ETC About a video from Gaza, showing two people being thrown hundreds of meters up in the air by an Israeli bomb. I think of a poem in Mosab Abu Toha’s « Things You Can Find In My Ear »:
“More missiles come flying
on looking for everything that moves.
Angels capture my niece.
We look around and find only
her milk bottle. «

Many say that the killing of Palestinians must not be normalized. But that this has already happened is noticed in the seemingly guilty of their suffering, which is accompanied by toothless calls for Israel to show restraint and respect international law. Words that are not accompanied by ultimatum and sanctions do not express any genuine desire to bring about change for the Palestinians. The relationship with Israel’s and the United States’s increasingly autocratic governments is far more important for Europe than that of children like Mosab Abu Toha’s niece.

Will any responsibility be claimed after the trixing with the purchase of unlisted Northvolt shares?

Reply to Håkan Söderström: Agrees in Everything about Death Boys. Extra strange if the deceased had a « special postal address » to a good man whose role and powers, after all, cease at the moment of death but must remain as addressed for everything possible which then only concerns the estate. Now in declaration times, the Swedish Tax Agency actually offers that I can become a declaration representative with the possibility of using my own bank ID on behalf of the estate-an unexpected technical miracle after all posting-but only after my written application on form SKV 4809, which must be sent by post. Then at least two weeks of waiting time. At the same time, another part of the Swedish Tax Agency, which has registered the building listing, knows that I am the only « partner » of the estate, so the purpose of the delaying application procedure appears to be somewhat unclear.

Now we’ve got necessary debates about the sad winter fashion We have been hit. I have been surprised that you are hardly seeing anything other than sadly black -clad figures, even in prosperous residential areas. All over Stockholm rests a doomsday atmosphere, and now it has emerged that it has become increasingly difficult to find any alternative to these gloomy garments. I wonder a little about the purchasing managers’ psyche. Do they want to take revenge on their surroundings for the sake of some injustices? Above all, I wonder what happened to the fur you saw in such abundant amounts every winter. They lived because they made women both beautiful and well equipped against the cold. After the vegans were notorious with their actions, a fear began to spread and women were forced to abandon their dear furs. It is probably scary that the vulnerability for hate campaigns is so great in Sweden. That a small group of extremists can change all winter fashion. It is both an aesthetic and ecological problem with this huge waste of resources.

Opinions about DN

The front of the cultural section on Sunday showed Henrik Dorsin wrapped in a Swedish flag. It is neither culture nor fun, but disgusting to treat Sweden’s flag like that!
