Letter to the editor. Noted by DN’s readers on April 7

One uses physical violence to achieve their goals – Putin. Another uses economic power – Trump. One transfers easily into the other. In both cases, the brutality, the lies and a frightening indifference to the suffering of others are in both cases. For anyone who does not want to see a world where power -hungry individuals, through violence and at the expense of others, take what they want, it is crucial to stand up for a different way forward. A path characterized by justice, humanity and respect for the right of all people to be heard. The future must never be handed over to the oppressors!

Princess Madeleine’s skincare products are criticized in a debate article in DN by the association « Science and Folk Education ». It is a 50 -year -old association that can at best be called popular science and at the worst case quasi -scientific. The latter epithet is due to the fact that members often express comments on scientific issues without having expertise on the subject. A pervasive theme in their operations is an aversion to anthroposophy, which is a health ideology. As soon as anthroposophy comes to talk, the association reacts. I have been repeatedly set this for 30 years. The problem for the princess is thus that the company that produces the skin care products (Weleda) is based on anthroposophical philosophy, and it is seen as a moral load. The association partly leaves its parade, which is to criticize claims and phenomena that one considers itself lacks solid scientific support. This criticism hardly works here, for only a fraction of the skin creams in beauty stores or on the net should have solid scientific support. Right now, however, the association has nothing against such deficiencies, but it is the anthroposophical background that matters. Plus you know that anthroposophists are bad at both explaining and defending themselves.
