Let Pedro – Nova Makedonija hang

Times change, but habits obviously don’t. These days we are witnessing more throats, some rich and hoarse, persistently repeating the old hit. Let Pedro do its job. Hanging time there. First let’s see who and for what a cab, and a rope if needed, and at home will bring the one who deserved – to serve with the words of another joke of those old times

In the former country one time a very popular musical hit was the song « Let Pedro Hanging ». A song like a song, it was a hit and forgotten. But her title remained much longer than the song itself, because in countless cases it was used to point out some anomalies in everyday life, especially when, often unjustified, a character that the party decided to be tarnished and then removed from political or public life. And, as usual, it would eventually prove that the attacks were unjustified, that is, they were intended, because someone there, above, estimated.
Times change, but habits obviously don’t. These days we are witnessing more throats, some rich and hoarse, persistently repeating the old hit. However, with a slightly sub -eliminated text, but in essence the intention is the same. Now the refrain of the new hit is « the Assembly to dissolve », and the occasion is supposedly unemployed by the legislature, although the real intention is seen by a plane. They sing former, singing politicians sing, singing candidates who dream of dreaming and one day sitting in warm and comfortable armchairs, all in the hope that now is the moment…
But without the desire to spoil their dance, it would only be good to see what the poet wanted to say. Namely, to dissolve the congregation, right? This is obviously a contradictory request. Let’s say a question about discussion.
Here, let’s agree that it is. But we first need to ask ourselves what the assembly can essentially do? To interfere with the work of the executive organs? To interfere with the scope of work of the judicial authorities? To take a political attitude about something that is strictly of a legal nature by the nature of things? Or to bring some non -binding declarations and resolutions that in this case have no weight? Or those who advocate involving the Assembly to show that the MPs have not left their citizens?! Very sad and pathetic. And this is advocated by doyenes in Macedonian politics?! It is really becoming increasingly clear why the system did not work and why it was so throat, ineffective…, why the authorities (legislative, executive and judicial) overlapped the competences and, secondly, declared incompetent in the part they should legally complete. Really sad.

We are all witnessing that we get new and new knowledge of how things are going after the tragedy that has hit us all. And we are witnessing a « flywheel » start in which part of the executive and part of the justice apparatus is put into operation, in full capacity. Then, what would the congregation require somewhere where it was not? To appear somewhere « because of artistic breast »? Indeed, let’s not lure the citizens that they were left in the lurch by lawmakers. They will not be left aside if the competent institutions act by law and clear things up step by step. Pedantic, efficient and in legal procedure.
If the required part of the state apparatus is put into operation, if the laws adopted by the Assembly are enforced, what is disputed here?! Parliamentary Committees?! Supervisory hearings?! Someone’s interpellation?! Parliamentary questions?! Or, any other type of control-off function of the Assembly? But come on, please … Don’t lure the public…
Of course, if the laws were not accidentally enforced, then the competent committees could be activated in the Parliament and under the procedure to take responsibilities. But why would things be mixed now, when there is no need, when we see that everyone is doing their job within their competences.
And indeed, it is up to one to ask who needs this call, showing « experience, knowledge », creating a climate of no confidence?!
Ultimately, the situation around the catastrophic fire in Kocani is being cleared slowly, the prosecution and the police are doing their job as they are forced, the health authorities are carrying out the agreement, each competent taking part of responsibility and doing what is prescribed. It can be said that things are being detained to a finish, at least what can be rounded up for now. That would mean that in a short time there could be some imaginary feature and see who did or did not do, who failed, and who completely missed the job.

Then someone’s responsibility could be sought or it may be told that even in the most difficult times you have done what it is competent for. Perhaps then the Assembly could reach a conclusion, but only to state a post -festum that and how it happened.
Any involvement in the work of the executive and judicial authorities doing their job means something else. Something that no one would want, because we know where to take such behavior.
So let Pedro do its job. Hanging time there. First let’s see who and what a cab, and a rope, if needed, will bring the one who deserves – to use the words of another joke of those old times, from which we look nothing we learned as an experience, so now we make a bitter mistake.
