« Less Serbs, Fewer Problems »: Is the deportation of Serbian police officers from Kosovo to start a campaign for local elections? – Politics
The Kosovo authorities in the last four days were caught by five Serb police officers, of whom at least three were deported in Serbia with a ban on entering Kosovo and confiscation of citizenship. According to the President of the Serbian National Motion, Milija Biševac, these moves are part of the political campaign of the government that has a clear goal – « less Serbs, minor problems ».
By five members MUP« Srbije who are arranged at border crossings, just one, retired cop, was released.
Of the other four, three are distant from Kosovo with Kosovo’s citizenship and a ban on entering five years, while one of Kosovo authorities, but the Office for KIM said it was also deported to Serbia.
For these moves, the public first learned through the Facebook profile of the Kosovo Minister of Interior Jeljalj Sadru, who published it all. However, given that it is not discussed by the decision of the court that would justify this, and that 48 hours were mainly in between contracting and deportations, these moves are questioned from the legal point of view.
As Kossv conveyed to the Law on Citizenship, according to which Kosovo’s activities, or members of the police force, ie the intelligence of the authorities, or does not exist for this, « they lose the right to citizenship of the Republic of Kosovo. »
Given that local elections in Kosovo are officially scheduled for 12. October, the question is whether the Kosovo authorities also use this situation for an early campaign, trying to raise points with the nationalist part of the polling body.
Biševac: The Ministry of the Interior of Kosovo was fulfilled above the courts and laws
The President of the Serbian People’s Movement Milija Biševac points out that such procedures must not happen.
« Forced deportation of Serbian police officers who live in Kosovo and Metohija is a brutal violation of basic human rights and another type of pressure that leads to Serbs from their centuries-old hearths, » Bishevac claims.
He emphasizes that in these situations, it is not for security risks, nor about evidence, because he adds, he does not.
« There is no court act that would confirm any guilt of these people. On the contrary, the Ministry in Prishtina became abundantly above the courts and laws, which is a dangerous precedent and opens the door for further abuse, » says our interlocutor.
He states that the worrying complete absence of the EU and the international community reactions, because these are them, he considered Brussels to deal with.
« When silent in front of such incidents are encouraged, » Bishevac emphasizes, he points out that SNP, Pristina, full confidence that peace and coexistence in Kosovo and Metohija are not treated as a second-order citizen.
Therefore, they require responsibility and return to the institutional order, in which the law will apply for everything equally.
When asked if this move was an introduction to a campaign for the upcoming local elections, Biševac claims that everything the government and its ministers are doing has a political background.
« The whole campaign of the ruling party has been a few times aimed at northern Kim. In that dirty campaign, they also violate the constitution and laws, » Tvri interlocutor of Danas.
He concludes that the goal is clear in all Albanian political factors and part of the international community – « fewer Serbs, minor problems ».
So far, from international actors, the Embassy of Germany in Kosovo and OEBSA Mission In Kosovo and Mission UNMIKA Stressing that they « carefully monitor » everything in relation to this case, and emphasized the importance of compliance with the rule of law and international law.
The deportation is reacted Both Serbian democracy, who condemned the selective seizure of Serb citizenship and pointed out that Kosovo violated two members of the European Convention on Human Rights and two members of the Constitution of Kosovo.
« This creates a dangerous precedent, according to which ethnicity and political loyalty are a criterion for measuring the right to citizenship, staying and placed in the position of continuous doubt, without guarantees that their law will provide them with equal treatment, » they stated from SD.
Remind, the series of arrests of Serbian police officers from Kosovo comes after 7. June in Serbia former members of the KLA and Kosovo Special Police Arnor Spahi, suspected for serious murder in the case of « Banjska ».
