Interested parties can follow about eighty courses-from hairdresser to makeup artist-to get started professionally later. Several former teachers of those Beauty Academy testified with us and in The latest news Invoices about too late or even unpaid.
According to Poppe, her company has « suffered a lot of damage » in the past month, for which she and her husband Kevin Lebreton are looking for solutions. Yet, according to her, there are also a lot of « pertinent untruths » that she would like to refute « with irrefutable facts ».
« Just terrible »
She starts her five -minute explanation with the refutation of the allegations of Sofie Dekeyser, who until recently taught at the Beauty Academy, worked in the store and also gave beauty treatments. Dekeyser claimed in The latest news That it was forced to fall and sell inferior cosmetics, which often came from Chinese web shops such as AliExpress, Temu and Alibaba. « That is a lie: we sent her C4 by registered mail, immediately after her resignation. She never started to pick it up. We then emailed her that her C4 came back and that she can come and pick it up. She never did that. To shift in my shoes that she has ended up with OCMW, Poppe parries.
The businesswoman also contradicts her cosmetic products from cheap Chinese web shops. « My nail products are made in Poland, my eyelash products in Estonia and my henna in India, » says Poppe, showing photos of (part of) the address of the sender. Her other cosmetic products mainly come from the Netherlands. Only the collagen threads come from China, Poppe claims because China « simply delivers the best side wires in the world ».
For the container park
Poppe also denies that there would be cosmetic products expired in its store. According to her, the products that were mentioned in the press were intended for the container park and were no longer in the store shelves, she says. « If an expired product has nevertheless ended up with a consumer, it is based on a human error, » said the entrepreneur.
The entrepreneur also focuses on the accusations of Rachela Pesc, a hairdresser who also taught at the Beauty Academy. Rachela claimed in The latest news That Poppes company suddenly no longer paid its invoices, after years of good cooperation. « In my case, 4,000 euros remains unpaid, » the hairdresser testified.
According to Poppe, it is not true that PESCE has not been paid for months. « Only her last invoice had expired ten days. But only on the day she testified at VTM Nieuws, did she send us her first reminder, » says Poppe, who also contradicts that she leaves Pessces messages unanswered. A screenshot of a WhatsApp conversation must prove that her husband Kevin still had contact with Pesce on the evening before the broadcast.
Finally, Poppe says that the claims around the tampering with CE stickers are not in line with reality. « We regularly receive CE control from FPS Economy. If products are not in order, after submitting the necessary certificates, we can apply stickers ourselves to make them in accordance with. »
Lesley-Ann Poppe did not respond to the allegations of former employees who opened their book about the Beauty Academy with us. However, she already responded that « she has a correct explanation for every unpaid invoice ».
