« Lent as a time of healing, in spirit and body »

The evangelical parable of the prodigal boy, or rather, recalled Pope Francis, « of the Merciful Father, » reveals the heart of the Lord. He is the Merciful Father who, in Jesus, loves us out of every measure, expects to repent, whenever we are wrong. He waits to return when we leave him.

In the text of the Marian prayer of the angel of the Lord of this Sunday, the 4th of the Lent’s liturgical time, reflecting on the part of the Gospel from Luke (LK 15, 1-3.11-32), the Pope reminds the believers that Jesus tells of that « Dad has two sons: The other, the « obedient » boy, indignant with his father, does not want to enter the holiday prepared for the boy who has returned to his father’s house.  » A story that tells and « reveals the heart of God: always compassionate to all; heals our wounds so we can love one another as brothers. »

God loves us out of every measure and awaits us with compassion
The figure of the Father of the Evangelical Parable – Shkurt Pope – reveals the Lord’s heart. He is the Merciful Father who, in Jesus, loves us out of every measure, expects to repent, whenever we are wrong. He waits to return, when we leave him, thinking we can do without him: God is always ready to open our arms, whatever:

Like the Father, of the image of the Gospel of this 4th Sunday of the Lental liturgical time, and God continues to consider his sons, when we lose, he comes to meet us with love, when we return to Him. The mistakes we make, even when they are great, do not scold the loyalty of his love. In the sacrament of the confession we can always restart from scratch; He awaits us, restores us to the dignity of his sons and says to us: ‘Go ahead! Be in peace! Raise and move forward! ‘

Pope Francis then shifts his attention to the path to Easter, encourages believers to live « this Lent, all the more so in the jubilee year of hope, as a time of healing », and speaks in the first person.

I too am experiencing so, in my soul and body. Therefore, I sincerely thank all those who, according to the image of the Savior Jesus, are for the relative the means of healing with their words and their knowledge, with love and prayer.

The Pope’s gaze is, therefore, to all people with the congratulations of brotherhood in the Savior Jesus.

Fragility and disease are experiences that unite us all; Without forgetting that we are brothers in the salvation that Christ has bestowed upon us.
