Legal representatives of Vanja and Pance’s damaged families have stated that they are accepting the prosecution’s closing remarks
Following the closing remarks of the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office at today’s court hearing on the murder of Vanja Gjorcevska and Pance Zezhovski, the legal representatives of the damaged families told the court that they fully accept the prosecution’s request, joining criminal prosecution and demanding property claims.
Vanja’s mother -in -law said they are joining criminal prosecution and submitting a written claim for damages for non -pecuniary damage. It was emphasized that their request is to pay money solidarity, as stated in the submission, taking into account the difficult mental consequences and the irreparability of lost life. In order to avoid additional trauma, they propose that the court not refer them to civil proceedings.
In the closing statement, the lawyer of mother Zorica Gjorcevska and sister Minja asked the court to be allowed to convey from mother Zorica, but was not fully approved by the court.
– I address the court, not as a mother but also as a man who lives with the most severe and inexplicable pain. For almost a whole year, the whole public is closely following this laborious trial. All defendants said they did not feel guilty about the offenses. During the process, a series of material evidence and testimonies were presented, we hear different conspiracy theories every day and everywhere, selected based on alleged political persecutions, places, countless complaints. But unfortunately one fact remains undeniable, there is no. They kidnapped her and took her, killed her ruthlessly in the most brutal way, my child. When we heard of an unfortunate event in the world, I told my two daughters that such things in Macedonia were not happening, I was distant. But it happened to me to my dearest and it must not be repeated. No parent should experience what I experienced – it was stated in Zorica’s written address.
The two daughters of Zezhovski, Makedonka and Anna were present at the hearing, who said they fully accept the final word of the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office, join the criminal prosecution and demand a property legal claim.
Prosecutor’s Office today in his closing remarks requested a maximum life sentence for four defendants Ljupco Palevski, Vlatko Kesishev, Bore Videvski and Velibor Manev, while for Vanja’s father, defendant Aleksandar Gjorcevski asked the court to order him.
For Gjorcevski, the prosecutor said « There is no more severe punishment than a child and life with such a conscience as in the case of Vanja’s father, defendant Aleksandar Gjorcevski. We do not claim that they wanted to kill his child, but participated in his daughter’s kidnapping and ask for appropriate punishment ».
