Learning does not end when we leave school benches

At this year’s 30th week of lifelong learning (TVU), almost 9,000 educational, cultural and social events will be organized by June 15, organized by 2000 organizers and 40 coordinates across Slovenia. « This year’s tvu is special because many events explicitly highlight values ​​such as ominia, knowledge, progress, peace, health and coexistence, » he says Zvonka Pangerc Pahernik, Head of the TVU project at the Andragogical Center of Slovenia (ACS), who is a national coordinator.

He emphasizes that they are proud at ACS that they have been encouraging their desire to learn for thirty years and represent opportunities for him: “Learning is a process that does not end when we leave the school benches. That is why we are proud to look back at our 30-year tradition, and with great enthusiasm we go to the future. « 

More than 200 ACS awards so far

The high anniversary was celebrated at the central national event in Ljubljana, where the Andragogical Colloquium on adult education and peace was also held, and 12 ACS awards were presented. The first inspiring stories have received ACS awards in 1997, and ACS has so far presented more than 200 awards to individuals, institutions and communities that impress and encourage learning examples to strengthen us and joy, so our companion should be throughout our lives.

The online vote for the slower of Lifelong Learning 2025 also began, which runs until June 8 on the portal Can.si (https://www.lahko.si). The most famous lifelong learning will be announced on June 16 in Maribor. The winner will receive a unique sculpture by French sculptor Guillaum Froger.

« Lifelong learning begins at birth, it has been going on all our lives and it ends the end of our lives, » emphasizes Dr. Zoran Jelenc, Former ACS director. The development path of TVU has begun in the European Year of Lifelong Learning 1996. The ACS initiative to raise awareness of learning opportunities and celebrate achievements, attracted the establishment of adult education, public universities and other educational institutions, and over time many other libraries and museums. She came to life at national and local levels, and has also come to fruition in the international movement of learning festivals.

Thirteenth execution of the learning parade

The concept of learning a parade – a learning community day, which is experiencing a thirteenth performance this year, has also developed. It will be held on May 21. In the markets and other public places, passers -by will invite stalls, workshops, multimedia presentations, as well as professional events in nearby streets and teaching corners. The providers of knowledge and skills will meet and demands for both, in the company of advocates and realizers of culture lifelong learning. Members of all generations will participate. In addition to the learning parade, a joint campaign will also be a day for quality, which will be on May 23.

Within TVU, with the long -standing slogan Slovenia, the Learning Land, by 15, in June, almost 9,000 events throughout Slovenia will enable visitors to acquire new skills and encourage them to continue learning and education. They will take place in rural areas, in small towns and major cities, educational and cultural institutions, libraries, bookstores, health centers, shopping centers and other cities that attract public attention.

The organizers of TVU invite you to computer, music, art workshops, lectures and exhibitions, table, competitions and excursions, tours of farms, family hikes, tastings, chats in foreign languages, free knowledge tests and more. The Internet and the phone are also among the venues of the TVU. They will take place in the spirit of common values ​​such as ominia, knowledge and skills, peace and equality, health of body and mind, modernity and advancement, and community in harmony.
