The meeting is attended by Alliance leaders for Albanians Arben Taravari, at the Democratic Izet Mexhiti movement, Besa Bilal Kasami and the alternative Zeqiria Ibraimi.
Before the meeting, Taravari briefly said in a statement to the media that there would be no divisions inside the coalition. Asked about what the expectations of tonight’s meeting are, Taravari said he was without expectations because « it is a regular meeting of the parties ».
The leader of the Democratic Movement and Minister of Environment and Physical Planning Medziti, meanwhile, pointed out that the coalition would play joint lists in the upcoming local elections, while whether Taravari remains worth or leave the coalition, Medziti said: « You should ask Taravari. »
Besa leader Bilal Kasami did not make a statement ahead of the meeting, while Alternative President Zeqiria Ibraimi said it was a coordinating meeting of the coalition parties worth.
In the media, today’s meeting was announced by Kasami and Taravari.
Kasami said today that the coalition meeting will be determined how it will run in the upcoming local elections. Kasami is convinced that the elections will be together.
-The regular communications are extended to the VLL coalition, and today we have the next meeting where the local elections will be discussed. The public is already aware that there are several options, but anyway I hope today will be the last day, the last meeting, where these dilemmas will be defined in the framework of the debate on the local elections – said Kasami.
He expressed conviction that he would go together in the local elections. « And what we have shown in the parliamentary elections will also show in the local elections and finally we will succeed in receiving the municipalities and leading them successfully as we are convinced that we are pursuing politics within the government coalition but also within the municipalities where the coalition is being held so far.
Taravari said after a working visit to the Ferid Murad General Hospital in Gostivar that he hoped the coalition working groups would continue to work and that they would find the best possible solution, which would not be frustrating or demotivating for the parties that are part of VLL.
First Deputy Prime Minister and Environment Minister Izet Mexhiti, who is also president of the Democratic Movement a few days ago, asked Taravari to elect a side, whether he would be part of the WLL or negotiate with DUI for the upcoming local elections.
Medziti said at a government press conference on Tuesday that Taravari was acquainted with the idea of uniting political parties in a coalition in one party.
The idea of fusion, he pointed out, has been present from the very beginning of the coalition, but an appropriate moment has been awaiting the alignment of political structures, ideas and programs to make the next step towards forming a political entity.
