LDPR proposes to increase the penalty for the lack of a sign under glass at the low -speed vehicles
Tomorrow, the State Duma will discuss the bill on a significant increase in the fine for drivers of low -speed vehicles that do not stick a red triangle on the glass. So it is necessary to label equipment that is not able to move faster 30 km/h so that the other participants in the movement understand that they are traveling for a low -proceeding vehicle and it can be overtaken. Now the penalty for the lack of a sign is 500 rubles, therefore, many quiet -comed people do not set it, which “leads to sad consequences”, the authors of the initiative are sure. They propose to increase the amount of the fine at once by six times, but in United Russia and the government do not see the need for this.
According to the Parliament database, on May 13, the State Duma plans to consider amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses made by the LDPR faction in January 2025. We are talking about adjustments to the punishment for incorrect overtaking. Recall that traffic rules are prohibited to overtake any vehicles in the area of the prohibiting sign, with the exception of low -proceedings. These include a technique that is not capable of constructively – according to documents – to accelerate faster 30 km/h. These are primarily agricultural tractors, combines, etc., as well as rollers, irrigation machines and other asphalt layers. The driver of such transport must install a special sign in the form of a red triangle under the rear window so that the motorists boldly go to overtake.
The punishment for the refusal to glue the sign is 500 rubles. Fulfillment. In the bill, the LDPR offers to raise it to 3 thousand rubles.
The existing amount is clearly not enough, and the absence of the sign misleads the participants in the movement, the authors of the initiative believe: as a result, drivers are afraid to get out, which leads to a dangerous accumulation of transport on the roads.
The traffic police does not conduct separate statistics on the violations of the software, so it is impossible to establish how many fines were written for unwillingness to establish a sign. Nevertheless, there were many proceedings in the lawsuit of the data due to low-speed vehicles. The situation is typical when the driver of an ordinary car determined the quietness of a neighbor exclusively at a speed below 30 km/h and overtaken in a wrong place.
The Duma Committee on State Building did not support the LDPR initiative, considering that the proposed amount of the fine was too high.
The head of the committee Pavel Krasheninnikov recalled that the traffic rules oblige the drivers of the Tikhokad to let those who want to go to overtake. This was done on the initiative of the government, and the authors did not give amendments to explanations and statistics.
