Lawyers accused of disagreeing the deadly error of a surgeon
Five doctors from the National Institute of Legal Medicine are criminally investigated by prosecutors to favor the perpetrator, being accused of trying to mask the case of an oncologist surgeon in the Capital who forgot a compress in the body of cancer patient, the woman dead because of a septicemia.
The surgeon was accused by the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Târgovişte District Court for committing the crime of murder.

Causal in the development of a toxic-septic state, resulting in multiple organ failure and which, finally, produced the victim’s death on 24.01.2023 ”, prosecutors from the General Prosecutor’s Office say.
Subsequently, say the investigators, five members of the endorsement and control commission within the National Institute of Legal Medicine, based on a preliminary agreement and at the request of an interested person, on the occasion of their meeting, did not scientifically approve the content of the forensic report prepared by the County Medical Service.
The prosecutors carried out searches on the INML headquarters on Monday, the five doctors being taken to hearings and then charged for committing the crime of favoring the perpetrator.
