The weather changes will not be scared

« For many years, breeders have been working with lawn seeds, so the plants grown for us are more or less adapted to local weather changes. « When the day is positive, the plant warms up, the juice from the soil comes to the leaves. When the temperature drops below zero at night, that juice is unable to return to the roots, so the lawn can die.

Do not rush with fertilizer

When asked how to take care of lawn in early spring, T. Gurskas advises not to rush with fertilizers and not to smell them, especially now. There are at least a few reasons for him, he said.

« First of all, the grass is still asleep and completely not feeding, so if you fertilize the lawn now, you will lose the main nutrient – nitrogen. Nitrogen is very agile, so it will either evaporate from the frozen soil or will be washed with spring rain. will not use it, ”says the landscape specialist. « It is best to wait for the frost to completely leave – it could happen in April before starting fertilize. »

However, if you want to improve the law of the lawn, T. Gursk recommends sprinkling lime or dolomitmil.
