Latvian hockey team in IIHF « Power rank » retains eighth place / day

The « Power Rank » is a top tournament for hockey fans entertaining and may not match their real position in the rankings.

The Latvian team ranked eighth with the slogan « It Feels Amazing to Get Punched by Crosby. » (It’s great to get your nose from crosby).

The IIHF ranked first in the Canadian team, followed by Sweden, but Germany ranks third. One position lower than before the tournament in fourth place is the Czechs, Switzerland fell from fourth to fifth place, and from fifth to sixth place in the US. Next are Finland, Latvia, Slovakia and Austria, who finish the top ten. The last two places are spent on the Slovenian and Danish teams.

It has already been reported that Latvian hockey players started the World Championship with a 4: 1 victory over the French, then 1: 7 was defeated in the game with Canada and the Slovenian team was beaten in the third match. Tonight, Latvians will have a match with housewife Sweden, May 17 at 13.20 will have to be used with the Finnish national team, May 18 at 9.20 pm – with Slovakia and in the final group game on May 20 at 1:20 pm with Austrian hockey players.

In the second group, Herning plays in Denmark, Czech, German, USA, Kazakhstan, Norway, Switzerland and Hungary.

16 teams are divided into two groups, eight teams each, with a round tournament. The top four teams in each group will continue their battle for medals in the quarterfinals, but the weakest teams in both groups will leave the strongest division, and will be replaced by Britain and Italy next year.

This year’s World Cup in Herning and the Swedish capital, Stockholm, will take place from 9 to 25 May. Group B games and two quarter -final matches will take place in Herning, while Stockholm will also host two quarter -final duties, semi -final games and medals.
