Latvian basketball players will play with Serbia, Czech Republic, Turkey, Estonia and Portugal / Day
During the lottery, it became clear that Latvia (second basket) will play with Serbia (1st), the Czech Republic (3rd), Turkey (4th), Estonia (5th) and Portugal (6th).
Latvia will meet Turkey on August 27, on August 29 with Estonia, August 30 with Serbia, September 1 with Portugal and September 3 with the Czech Republic.
Germany (1st), Lithuania (2nd), Montenegro (3rd), Finland (4th), Great Britain (5th) and Sweden (6th) will play in Group B.
Spain (1st), Greece (2nd), Italy (3rd), Georgia (4th), Bosnia and Herzegovina (5th) and Cyprus (6th) will meet in Limassol C.
Group D will meet France (1), Slovenia (2nd), Poland (3rd), Israel (4th), Belgium (5th) and Iceland (6th)
Before the group lottery, 24 teams were divided into six baskets, taking into account the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) ranking table. In each group, one team was drawn from each basket.
The specific groups had reserved places for the owners of the square and their partner countries. In the European Championship Finals, 24 teams in four groups will play in Riga, Tampere, Katowice and Limassol at the end of August and early September. The top four teams will qualify for the playoffs in Riga, finding out the medal winners in the first half of September.
