Latvia will buy another 42 infantry battle machines ascod / day
They are designed for arming one additional battalion.
It has already been reported that in January this year, Latvia signed an agreement with the Spanish company « Gdels-Santa Bárbara Sistemas » for supplying the 42 infantry combat car « Ascod » to the National Armed Forces (NAF), which will cost € 373 million.
Of these, 42 machines will have to be delivered in three years, but the first armored equipment units next year. At the same time, the agreement provided the possibility for Latvia to order a new part of the machines, setting it separately.
According to the contract, the involvement of the local industry is 30%.
Defense Partnership Latvia has signed a partnership agreement with « Gdels-Santa Bárbara System », and in the spring of next year it is planned to start assembly of combat machines in Valmiera. Local companies such as « Bels » Ltd., « Latvijas Mobilais Telefons », « East Metal » Ltd., « Teters » Ltd., « RK Metāls » Ltd., Lanos Ltd.
Defense Partnership Latvia in 2023 had a turnover of EUR 1.31 million and a profit of EUR 297 023. The company was registered in 2020 and its share capital is EUR 203,777, according to Firmas.lv information.
« Defense Partnership Latvia » co -owners are SIA « Patria Latvia » (70.03%), the sole owner of which is « Patria ISP » registered in Finland, and SIA « Unitruck » (29.97%) owned by Normunds Driļevskis.
