Last Easter holidays police caught 44 drink drivers / day
Staff of the State Police Response Bureau found a number of drivers who grossly violated the speed limit during the holidays during the holidays. Three drivers have been deprived of driving driving, but another is a prohibition on the exercise of rights.
On April 18, law enforcement officers found a BMW driver, who, in the direction of Lubanas Street in Riga, from Kaudzīšu Street to the side of Meiranu Street, was driving at 129 km/h at the allowed 50 km/h, thus exceeding the allowed speed of more than 70 km/h. The BMW manager was immediately suspended and a fine of € 1,400 and was deprived of the right for one year.
On the first Easter, April 20, law enforcement officers found several more drivers who violated the speed limit in Pieriga and Riga.
For example, in Sigulda County, law enforcement officers noticed a driver of an Audi car who violated the speed limit – where the permitted speed was 90 km/h, the « Audi » driver was driving at 164 km/h. He is still a ban on the use of rights for nine months without a fine.
Law enforcement officers in the country recorded 1209 fulfillers in the country last week, and last year 1344 speeding offenders were identified during these holidays.
