Last debate before first presidential round (video)
Seven candidates of the 11 registered in the presidential race are facing the final debate organized by Antena 3 CNN. The invitation responded to Crin Antonescu, Nicușor Dan, Elena Lasconi, Lavinia Șandru, John-Ion Banu-Muscel, Daniel Funeriu and Cristian Terheș.
Victor Ponta and George Simion are missing again.
« It is the decision of each one, I believe that Simion, and Ponta showed, by the absence of two of the debates, two things: that they are afraid of a direct dialogue with the candidates and especially the fact that they despise the vote, in essence, the attitude, the position of the Romanian voters. The voters have the right, from 5 to 5 years, » said Crin.
« When you are a politician you have to be at the disposal of the society. At this moment the society needs someone like me to perform to change the way the state institutions work, » said Nicușor Dan.
Crin Antonescu was asked before the debate why he did not shake hands with Victor Ponta at the previous debate.
« I do not want to go into details, it is my choice, it is a private matter, with Mr. Nicușor Dan I can have even strong clashes, we can have very big divergences. With Mr. Ponta, which is about the human plan, » said Crin Antonescu.
