Lasconi believes that 4% « means something »

The presidential USR candidate, Elena Lasconi, said, after the voting, that Romanians are always right and that she will continue to fight for Romania to escape ‘this corrupt and rotten and infiltrated system in all state institutions’.

‘I want to thank you to all those who voted me, who put your confidence in your vote. I also want to congratulate all the 10 candidates and I want to thank those who voted for them. Romanians are always right. I am worried that there are almost 50% of the total of those who voted who, when they left the polling stations, did not want to answer the question if they vote with an isolationist candidate or a pro-European, so we can expect differences, after seeing these two exit-pools, « Lasconi said.

According to her, nothing has changed in the last six months in the state institutions and spoke of the ‘crack’ in the system, referring to the cancellation of last year’s elections.

‘I want to ask you the following question: what has changed in the last six months in the state institutions, what has really changed, because it seems to me that nothing and there is no responsibility about what happened last year. I am glad that I had many people who were looking at the Romanian elections, including the United States, and that the process was a democratic one. That is very happy. I know it was a cyber attack, but it was resolved in a very short time. Let us not forget about the struggle we took together, let’s not forget that we have inspired people of good faith in this country. We showed that the system can have a crack and we managed to do this last year, « Lasconi added.

Elena Lasconi said that she still believes that Romanians are always right: ‘I love this country with all my being. I will always work for the Romanians, because for me it is honor ‘.

Asked with whom she will vote in round two, she replied: ‘Let’s see who enters the second round’.

About a possible presidential final George Simion with Nicușor Dan, Lasconi replied: ‘I will tell you tomorrow, after the count, because I am worried about those 50% of the Romanians who did not want to answer with whom they voted’.

Asked how he explained to the fact that he reached 19% to 4% as a voting intention, if they counted the photos he posted with Florian Coldea and Nicușor Dan, she said: ‘Maybe he should thank Nicușor’.

‘And if you ask me about the score, I think 4% in the presidential elections, with a campaign of 10,000 euros, means something. Others spent tens of millions of euros. This is: the lack of money, the fact that I could not business, I was not on the TV with clips and so on. I want to see the result of the counts, ‘added Lasconi.

She showed, in connection with the USR meeting for Monday, about the position for tour two and what will do if Nicușor Dan’s support will be decided: ‘most likely they will do it, it was not from the beginning?’.

Lasconi also stated that he will make public who will support the second round and will not cancel his vote.

‘I am a responsible person and I want to see the result of the count. (…) ‘Faith and hope is in me that Romania will get rid of this corrupt and rotten and infiltrated system in all state institutions and I will continue to fight,’ Lasconi said.
