KU Leuven conducts disciplinary research into student gynecology who raped and imposes campus ban on (Leuven)

KU Leuven is currently conducting a disciplinary investigation into the Gynecology student (24) who was found guilty of the rape of an adult student by the correctional court in Leuven and received the favor of suspension of punishment. The university reports this on Friday in a press release.
UZ Leuven had already put the doctor in training on non-active earlier this week. On Thursday there was another big protest in Leuven and Ghent, against the ruling of the court and against sexual violence against women.
« With a view to rest, serenity and safety on campuses, he no longer has access to the KU Leuven buildings and sites for the time being, » reports the university on Friday.
On November 8, 2023, the victim went with friends to a Halloween party in Leuven. At one point the light went out of her. Drunk or done something in her drink, that is not clear. She could not stand on her legs anymore. Then a student gynecology took her to his room where he had sex with her. The girl then filed a complaint because she had not given permission to have sex.
« He has benefited from her drunken state to celebrate his sexual lusts, » said the attorney during the session. « He claimed that he protected the student by taking her, but then set sexual acts himself. »
In his statements, the man said he didn’t realize that she didn’t want it. It was also not that he suddenly assaulted her, he said. She had started kissing him several times and indicated herself that she wanted to stay with him.
