KTM needs 100 million euros by Monday to secure operation – DiePresse.com
In order to secure the company in April and May, the insolvent two -wheeler manufacturer needs fresh money.
On March 17, the insolvent motorcycle manufacturer KTM started the production in Mattighofen (Braunau district) with a financial injection of 50 million euros from the Indian co -owner Bajaj. Another 100 million euros must flow by the end of March so that the company is secured in April and May. Whether this is the case remains open.
Investor search is running
An inquiry to the insolvency administrator remained unanswered, the company itself wants to comment only from May 23. Until then, the 30 percent quota-a total of 600 million euros-must be paid out to the creditors. An investor search is running to set up this money. There should be several interested parties, but there are hardly any resilient information. One refers to the confidentiality of such processes. Approval law permits could also be waiting for.
A few weeks after KTM AG and its daughters KTM Components GmbH and KTM Research and Development GmbH had filed for bankruptcy on November 29, the production of the motorcycles was stopped on December 13. There was almost three-month job interruption with wage and salary cuts to reduce the high inventory. After accepting the renovation plan with a bar quota of 30 percent for the creditors and a first money injection of 50 million euros from the co -owner Bajaj at the end of February, the production was able to get the production up at least in layering. Its full utilization is to be reached within three months. (APA)
