Krste Petkov Misirkov and Gjorgjija Pulevski and two bronze busts from Butel cemetery stolen
Krste Petkov Misirkov’s monument was stolen in the City Park at the City of Skopje, while Koco Racin’s memorial was damaged. Police also reported yesterday that a memorial bust of Gjorgjija Pulevski was seized from the school yard, but that two bronze busts from Butel City Cemetery were stolen.
– On 12.05.2025 at 09:30 in the SIA Skopje, PE Parks and Greenery reported that in the City Park, near the barracks of the City of Skopje, the monument to Krste Petkov Misirkov was seized, and the memorial bust of Kocho Racin was damaged- the Ministry of Interior said in a statement.
The same day, they added, it was reported that the yard of the elementary school « Gjorgjija Pulevski », in the area of the Municipality of Aerodrom, was seized by a memorial bust of Gjorgjija Pulevski.
– On the same day at 13.25 pm, from the elementary school « Gjorgjija Pulevski », in the area of the Municipality of Aerodrom, it was reported that a memorial bust of Gjorgjija Pulevski was seized from the school yard – MOI added.
Measures are being taken to clear cases.
The Ministry of Interior also informed that yesterday BI (67) and SC (76), both from Skopje, reported that two bronze busts had been seized from the grave places of Butel city cemetery and that the police were taking measures to clear the case.
