The 27-year-old BMW driver who entered a group of viewers by a speeding car is to be questioned on Monday at the latest. The circumstances of the accident will be examined by the prosecutor’s office in Krosno, which initiated the proceedings in the case – informs RMF FM.

The accident occurred on Sunday during the 1/4 mile race at the airport in Krosno – King of Poland Drag Race Cup. During one of the races, the driver of the BMW car lost control of the vehicle, fell out of the runway and drove into people standing behind the warning tape.
The first information talked about 15 wounded people.
– The accident occurred around 12:30 on the airport plate during automotive competitions. The 27-year-old participant of the race lost control of the vehicle and entered a group of fans. At the moment we have information about 15 people injured, of which a few are in a serious condition. The LPR helicopter participates in the rescue operation. The driver was sober, we have no information that he would be wounded – he gave « Fakt » subcommmberler Paweł Buczyński, press officer of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Krosno.
In subsequent hours of service, they reported that the balance of injured persons increased to 18 people, of which 14 were hospitalized. A child of several years also suffered injuries. Four people are in serious condition, including a young woman in a critical condition.
At least ten ambulances took part in the rescue operation. Helicopers of the Air Ambulance Service were also ordered, including from the base in Krakow.
Blood for tests was taken from the driver to show the possible presence of prohibited substances.
