Kremlin: Putin is ready to discuss Green’s proposal for non -civilian infrastructure
Russia is ready to consider the proposal of Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski to suspend attacks on civilian infrastructure – Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said today.
He added that there are no concrete plans for talks between Russia and Ukraine at the moment.
Greenski said yesterday that Ukraine was ready for any form of discussion to end attacks on civilian buildings.
– Ukraine continues to maintain its proposal not to attack at least civilian targets. And we expect a clear response from Moscow – said Zelenski yesterday.
Peskov said Putin yesterday referred to the complexity of the topic of civilian goals.
« That is, when we talk about civilian infrastructure facilities, we must clearly distinguish under what circumstances these facilities can be a military target, and under what circumstances they cannot, » Peskov said, citing Putin’s statement that a civilian building could be a military target if there were hostile fighters.
Putin declared a 30-hour ceasefire before Easter. But Russia and Ukraine blame each other for constantly violating Easter ceasefire and disregarding the moratorium on energy infrastructure attacks, agreed with US mediation last month.
