Kopavogs residents welcomed June 17


Residents of Kopavogur crowd at Rútstún on the occasion of the National Day of Iceland today, June 17. Agla María Albertsdóttir is a mountain woman of Kopavogur.

The day was held in two areas, at Rútstún and in Versailles. There were a number of entertainment, including Aron Can and British for people in both places.

The town’s scouting team led a parade from MK down to Rútstún. The Kópavogur School Orchestra played.

The Scouts lead the parade and the Kópavogur School Orchestra plays.

The mountain woman in the football team

The mountain woman in Kopavogur this year was Agla María Albertsdóttir, captain of Breiðablik’s football team. She stepped on stage at Rútstún. So did the mayor of Kopavogur, Ásdís Kristjánsdóttir, too.

The members of Gunni and Felix were introduced to Rútstún, but the couple Saga Gardar and Snorri Helgason in Versailles.

Also offered entertainment at the field at the Kópavogur Library and other town’s cultural centers, where creative summer jobs set their sights on the area. There were also circus items and BMK bros.
