Kocevski: Investigation of the case in Kocani to end in ten days, over 300 people inquire
The investigation into the tragic event in Kocani is due to end in ten days, Public Prosecutor Ljupco Kocevski announced in response to a journalist question at today’s press conference at the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
Upon completion of the investigation, the defense will have the opportunity to inspect the evidence, and the indictment is waiting to be ready in mid -June.
– So far we can. Witnesses, suspected, evidence is being raised yesterday and at the moment. So far, a large number of witnesses have been debated, perhaps over three hundred. I hope that the public prosecutors will complete the procedure provided by the dynamics – said Kocevski.
He reiterated that it was working on gathering new evidence and pointed out that if public prosecutors discover new moments, the investigation would be expanded.
In the investigation into the fire at the Pulse disco in Kocani, which occurred on March 16, 2025, which killed 62 people, 68 natural and three legal entities have been suspected so far.
The fire was caused by sparks of pyrotechnic effects during a DNA band concert. The disco worked without a valid license and violated numerous security standards, including lack of fire systems and sufficient evacuation.
