Knife attack in Diekirch: 15-year-old is said to have seriously injured her mother’s own mother

A 15-year-old is said to have seriously injured his mother from Tuesday to Wednesday with several knife stings. This was announced by the public prosecutor on Thursday evening.

The woman suffered several stab wounds and had to be treated immediately in the hospital. According to the authorities, your health is stable and not life -threatening.

In the course of the police investigation, it turned out that the alleged perpetrator is the victim’s 15-year-old son. After the incident, the young person fled, but could be provided by the police a short time later. He was also seriously injured while fleeing and then had to be medical care.

In view of the severity of the crime, the competent youth judge decided to accommodate the young people from the hospital in the correctional facility in Schrassig after his release from the hospital. Instruction in the special security unit for minors (UNISEC) in Dreiborn was currently not possible because there was no space available there.

The criminal investigations are still underway. The authorities emphasize that the principle of presumption of innocence applies.
