Klaipeda – Johann Strauss Operett’s debut

It is expected to take viewers to the world of oriental tales where love will overcome all obstacles.

According to the organizers, all tickets to the prime minister are already sold out on the days specified.

Audronė Juozauskaitė, Deputy Head of Klaipeda State Musical Theater (KVMT), said that this operetta was never built in Lithuania, so the residents of Klaipeda are given an exclusive opportunity to see it for the first ones.

Leonard Charlas, director and choreographer from Austria, said Princelaso that this operetta is ironic criticism of social imperialism, gender problems and social reforms. It is not historically accurate, and should not be because it is a satire.

« I was greatly relieved because Strauss remained Straussu, and it is wonderful. It was important to feel unity about what’s going on on stage with motion. Wonderful scenography, costumes, they complement everything. We have the genius J. Strauss, who raises a person from everyday life, grabbing the joy of life, » said Adrija Čepaitė.

Stage designer Carlos Santos Cabrera said this operetta was about stories and dreams, so he wanted to create a space where viewers could dream of with the characters.

Costume artist Agnė Kuzmickaitė said she did not try to modernize the costumes.

« The idea was dictated by J. Strauss and music, which is very harmonious and, of course, a fabulous storyline. The action will take place in the east, but there will be a kind of encounter with Western civilization. Although here is modern building, there was no purpose for me to shock and modernize, The story is imbued, ”noted A. Kuzmickaite.
