This special award is awarded annually to one of the brightest participants in the contest, and a special occasion awaits it – a concert at Klaipėda Castle Jazz Festival, where music sounds lively, and the show is watched by tens of thousands of spectators not only on the Theater Square, but also through the live broadcast of tv3.lt. Professional sounding, top -notch scene, and the ability to appear with global jazz stars are a huge springboard for talent.

This year’s sympathy prize winner is Jore Alminaitė, a young vocalist whose journey in music started in kindergarten when her mother took the KVLC Vocalis Junior. Later, the violin lessons were followed by Jeronim Kacinsk Music School, singing jazz and popular music, victory in many competitions, and even five times the winner’s name at the TV competition « Song of Songs ».

Currently, Jore is studying at Stasys Šimkus Conservatoire, Aušros Smičiūtė Butkevičienė’s singing class, continues concert activities with Vocalis, and participates in various projects. And in this year’s Jazz Wind competition, she won not only 1st place, but also a prize of the Klaipėda Castle Jazz Festival sympathy.

Vocal educator Aušra Smičiūtė Butkevičienė – singer, creator, arranger and one of the strongest young talent educators in Lithuania. Her students successfully continue their studies in prestigious Lithuanian and foreign music higher education institutions. Many of them – Emilija Buči, Aistė Gaja Šepikaitė, Arūnė Jonavičiūtė – have already entered the scene of the Klaipėda Castle Jazz Festival.

This year, this tradition will continue: with the Stasys Šimkus Conservatory Jazz Orchestra June 27th. Not only Aistė Šepikaitė, but also the new winner of the sympathy prize – Jore Alminaitė, will be performed at the festival.

The festival will take place on June 23-29, where jazz masters, new talents and listeners will meet here, who feel music with the heart.

The festival is funded by Klaipeda City Municipality.
