King Frederik creates great joy for special population group
Lagmand Aksel V. Johannesen officially welcomes the couple and immediately follows them to a reception in Tinganes, Tórshavn’s historic heart and home to the Faroese government.
Then the day is turned up at the pace. Among other things, the royal couple must greet the lagting, attend an official lunch and shed the city’s municipal reception. Along the way, they divide: Frederik is visiting a rehabilitation center, while Mary visits a school working with the Mary Foundation’s anti-mob program. The last point of the day? A party dinner under the Lagman’s tab.
Thursday gets at least as busy. Here is, among other things, seaweed production, elderly care, church visits, kindergarten and tree planting on the poster – all spiced up with conversations with local fire souls and municipal actors. A royal tour of the rubber boots firmly planted in the Faroese mud.
Friday’s final takes place in Eiði, where both visual arts, local politics and lunch talks are on the menu. And as tradition offers, the visit ends with a reception aboard Dannebrog – The royal ship, which literally ties the national community together over the waves.
The royal couple and their daughter, Princess Josephine, already visited the day inside, on June 10, the island of Koltur, which is the smallest built -up island in the Faroe Islands. You can see pictures of the family trip By clicking here.
