North Korean leader Kim Jong UN examined the tanks factory and pointed out « Great Progress in Basic Tanks Technology in Korean Style », the KCNA state media reported on Sunday.

He said that the production of top tanks and armored vehicles is crucial to modernizing the army and the achievement of a ruling party for the « second revolution in armored forces. »
Kim’s visit to the factory comes in the midst of a wider effort to modernize the North Korean conventional armed forces with nuclear and rocket arsenal. The North Korean leader recently attended the launch of the new naval destroyer and the tests of new drones.
South Korean and American officials said they suspect North Korea receives certain technical and military assistance from Russia in exchange for delaying ammunition, missiles and soldiers for the Ukraine War, but no details have been confirmed.
