Kilometer queues for the Fitzk Book Fair, the author signed books for six hours
A record number of visitors and kilometers could be cared for on Saturday at the Book Fair, and the reason was literary star Sebastian Ficek.
A writer of this caliber, such a literary phenomenon, does not remember the Macedonian Book Fair. Thousands of people of all generations, primarily young, have been patiently waiting for hours to meet their favorite German author of psychological thrillers.
Ficeck signed books for six hours without a break, with a smile and a conversation for each reader. Neither the fatigue nor the long queues reduced his energy – on the contrary, he accepted with admiration all who came to greet him.
– I don’t remember when I was last signed like this many books. I haven’t experienced such enthusiasm at the Frankfurt Fair. I was impressed by how young audiences are there in Skopje. The sale of his books went at lightning speed, until the last copy, the circulation was sold out.
This historic weekend began on Friday, when one of the Skopje China was held an exclusive promotion of his two latest novels – « Girl with Candle » and « Mimiki ». The gym was filled to the last chair, and the attendees had the rare opportunity to hear Ficek live, ask questions and take pictures with it.
What Sebastian Ficek brought to Skopje was not just a promotion – but a true literary spectacle, which showed that love for the book and the author had no boundaries.
